【主題書展】南島淵源：從臺灣到拉帕努伊 « 臺灣原住民族圖書資訊中心部落格

南島語族（The Austronesian-Speaking Peoples）的擴散，被認為是太平洋墾殖史中，繼距今七萬至五萬年間非洲智人移居亞洲之後，最大的一次遷徙。在1990年代，學者Peter Bellwood從歷史語言學的觀點，提出「臺灣原鄉論（Out of Taiwan）」，認為南島語族的擴散係自公元前2200年左右，從臺灣出發，經菲律賓，橫跨大洋到馬達加斯加、拉帕努伊（復活節島），並於公元1250年前後抵達紐西蘭。而根據李壬癸等學者的研究，由於臺灣南島語的歧異性最高，以及保存了大量的古語特徵，因此一般相信臺灣南島語是整個南島語系的發源地。而近年來考古學、遺傳學、民族植物學的研究，更為「臺灣原鄉論」提供了更多的支持證據。

立基於學界對於「南島起源」的研究，原圖中心特別策劃了「南島淵源：從臺灣到拉帕努伊」書展，並挑選與南島語族相關的圖書資料，主題包含臺灣南島語、哈瓦基（Hawaiki，毛利人的故鄉）、Lapita文化、樹皮布、文身、托拉查人（蘇拉威西島的原住民族），和拉帕努伊等，希望藉由此次書展，讓讀者能對南島語族有更進一步地了解。
